Bringing in the paperboard and folding carton assets of Cascades’ Norampac Division extended the company’s reach into the Canadian marketplace, while acquiring Rose City Printing and Packaging improved the company’s position on the West Coast of the United States. Acquiring The Benson Group in 2015 added the U.K.’s leading printed folding carton supplier, which produces packaging product for both the food retail and healthcare industries. The acquisition of Contego and A&R Carton in 2013 allowed Graphic Packaging International to expand its presence with customers in the consumer food segment in Europe. Acquiring Sierra Pacific Packaging, Mid-America Packaging and Delta Natural Kraft expanded the company’s flexible packaging business and added a craft beer segment to its portfolio.
